I live in San Luis Obispo with my wife Elisa. She is currently a student in the Master's degree program in Anthrozoology at Canisius College. Before that, she was the Southern Arizona Program Manager for Gabriel's Angels, a wonderful organization that pairs at-risk youth with therapy dog teams. We met at Kenyon College, our alma mater, in Gambier, Ohio. Here's our cat, Georgia, trying to change my views on free will.
I am originally from Chicago, Illinois. Before starting graduate school, I returned home for a couple of years and worked as a civil servant in the office of a city councilwoman. Outside of philosophy, I try to keep up with long-standing hobbies: I like to paint and I play blues harmonica.
