About Me
I live in San Luis Obispo with my wife Elisa and daughters Elinor and Penelope. Elisa received her Master of Science in Anthrozoology at Canisius College. Before that, she was the Southern Arizona Program Manager for Gabriel's Angels, a wonderful organization that pairs at-risk youth with therapy dog teams. We met at Kenyon College, our alma mater, in Gambier, Ohio. Here's our cat, Georgia, trying to change my views on free will.
I am originally from Chicago, Illinois. Before starting graduate school, I returned home for a couple of years and worked as a civil servant in the office of a city councilwoman. Outside of philosophy, I like to read all sorts of non-fiction. I play video games and tabletop RPGs with friends whenever possible. I am a city kid, but Elinor loves nature; hiking is therefore the new family hobby.
